So I have 2 boys (7 & 3) and their dad wants to relinquish his parental rights to them... I honestly feel it's best if he does as well, he has a pretty bad background and is on and off with drugs, its been over 2 yrs since he's seen them... he also has 2 other boys from 2 other moms that he had never met... I'm happy that he wants to, it would honestly relieve a lot of stress for me and my husband would be able to adopt them which is something we both really want, but part of me feels sad for my kids... my oldest remembers him and misses him my youngest doesn't remeber him at all... it just breaks my heart that he cares so little for them... they're such amazing boys and Idk how to tell my 7 year that his dad basically wants nothing to do with him ever 😢 David (my husband) is the only dad my 3 yr old knows so, i dont think it will affect him much which is good! ugh I guess I'm just feeling conflicted and needed to vent... anyone had anything similar?
