Initial latch still painful?

Hi all, my girl is 7 weeks old and I'm still having pain when she first latches. It goes away after a few seconds but I'm wondering if this is normal? She's been weened off the shield for 3 weeks now and I don't have pain any other time but feel like my nipples should be used to it by now.

It can be normal, just keep correcting her latch straight away :)

As long as it goes away I think that's normal. It takes babies a second to get the nipple to the correct place in their mouth. My LO is 7.5 weeks and when she has a good latch it still hurts fort the first few seconds. I can tell the difference between that and a bad/lazy latch, though (she has a pretty tight lip tie and I have overactive letdown so it's been a struggle).
