Need Advice about How to Deliver a Tough Message

My mom is my favorite person in the world (don't tell my husband that lol). This other second grandchild (I have a nephew) but her first granddaughter and she is so excited and so am I.

I love having my mom so close and know what a huge role she'll play on my daughters life. However, she wants me to do everything on her time right now.

When I painted the nursery she wanted me to put it off so she could help, I didn't put it off and she still came. Now she wants my husband to wait to assemble the crib bc she wants to be there. But she has so much on her plate right now, we're talking at least until after Xmas and I don't want to wait.

Waiting is not in my personality. I like to have things done right away because its super planner. There are so many things cluttering my house in boxes bc I want to out the crib together before I put the rest of the room together.

I'm also getting bigger and more tired. It could all be done today and I wouldn't have to think twice about it. I've said I don't want to wait and she keeps asking me to. I just don't know how to tell her that I want to do this on my time and not hers.
