Pack and play for sleeping

Who uses their pack and play for overnight sleeping for their newborn? I was going to use a rock n play but now I'm getting so many mixed reviews on using one for overnight. This is the pack and play we got, so I was thinking about putting this in our bedroom instead and putting the baby in the bassinet on the left side for overnight until we transition him to his crib.
