What do you consider sex?

A couple of years ago was the first time I had ever been naked with a boy and we went pretty far but we never had penetrative sex. Now whenever I talk about it (because it is still my only sexual experience with another person) I wonder if I can say that we had sex. We didn't NOT have sex but we didn't have SEX.

I usually end up saying we did have sex. I mean oral sex is technically sex.

What do you think??

I don't consider oral sex losing your virginity and i wouldnt say i had sex if it was only oral

This is becoming such an interesting topic in society. The religion that I was raised in dictates oral sex as sex, so you can get in trouble for it, but also has this double standard of not counting it as losing your virginity. Also, the question if defining virginity is adapting in society because of those in the LGBTQ community. If they are not interested in penetrative sex, then do they ever lose your virginity? What I can say is that most heterosexual people I know don't count oral as losing their virginity.
