Cramps

Every time my period comes around I get these awful cramps. I end up taking multiple ibuprofen. I use rice packs. But it's still killing me. They make me nauseous, sometimes I can't get off the couch. I'm not sure what to do. I know birth control can help, but I'm pretty young and would rather find something else then going straight to pills. My mom had endometriosis, but I doubt that's the case. Also I do not have a gynecologist nor am I sexually active. Please help!
