When using semen for cervical "ripening", is lube safe to use?

We've been having sex to get my cervix soft to prepare for labor. I know semen has prostiglandins that do this. Will lube neutralize the effectiveness of the prostiglandins of did using lube not effect it at all for you?

Using lube is totally fine, my ob actually told me most pregnant women experience dryness and are uncomfortable without it so most of them end up using it.

It could. We use coconut oil as lube. It doesn't mess with the sperm.

I think as long as it gets up there it should be okay. Maybe it might Effect it if the lube doubles as a spermicide but I've never heard one way or the other. 
But I've had sex twice since finding out I'm dialated but we have used both a condom and lube because A. Only way I can enjoy and not be in pain is with lube now and B. We don't want her born just yet, even though I'm now 2 days late. Anywho, but the sex hasn't done anything. So I think it's all about the stuff getting up there
