Over weight?

Question

I'm 13 and 5'7 1/4 ft. tall. I weigh 172 lbs. Am I over weight for my age and height? I don't look very big because I'm a curvy person but I feel really big anyways 🙄I eat like A LOT (obviously...) because whenever I get stressed or sad or angry or feel anything at all, I eat and it's hard to control it 😞

I think we've all been there when we question our weight. There's nothing wrong with you at all. If you really want to lose weight, eat healthy. Try to save a large salad for when your day gets bad. I also heard spicy foods really help with stress, so give that a try. Maybe start being more active than you usually are. If you mostly eat junk food for your stress, maybe cut it off. And if you feel insecure over other girls' bodies, stop. You are beautiful in your own way and never doubt that.

You're young so don't focus on the number. Lots of people eat sweets and junk food when they've tired, sad or stressed because it releases dopamine in the brain which makes you feel good. There are other ways though to reduce stress that are healthier and more effective in the long run. For example, put on some music you like and go for a walk. Try snacking on fruit instead. Always eat if you are hungry just try to eat healthy. No one is perfect and it's okay to treat yourself sometimes. Love your body the way it is and do your best to take care of it. You only have 1 🙂
