Circumcision at 6 months..Anyone else in the same boat?!

My LO is was unable to get circumcised after birth due to some complications and will be getting circumcised within the next 2 months. My husband feels strongly about getting him circumcised and my L&D nurse friend has also thoroughly discussed he pros and cons with me (so I would like to skip the debate on whether it is right or wrong).

What I really want is to hear from other momma's that have gone through this. I would love some insights, things to be cautious of, things you wish you would have known etc. so I can educate and prepare myself as much as possible.

I would also love to hear from momma's who are about to go through the same thing! Are you as nervous as I am!?

My son has his done at 2 month's, I gave him infant Tylenol before and after. He slept as much as possible, it will swell and look aweful the first few days but the swelling goes down with the help of the meds. Let him sleep all he wants even if its time to eat, I let my son sleep as much as he wanted till he woke up hungry. Dab don't wipe when you clean it and put the ointment his pedi should give him on it. The plastic piece will fall off on its own, my sons feel off about the 1 week mark!

I felt very confident about getting my son circumcised. His father isn't but we both decided to get him circumcised. Go out and buy the big tub of vacaline or petroleum jelly he will need load of it, and be prepared for a cranky LO. Feed the baby before at lease try 2 hours before he goes. And have a bottle ready to give to him to comfort him.

Not to brag but my sons Dr is the shit he sat down with me And my sons dad and told us we don't have too but he went into detail how he was going to do it and he did a phenomenal job my sons healed within. Week And has never had any issues peeing or anything !

my nephew was circumcised on his 3rd day :) and he was fine .. he's even a premie

Get ready to have your son's penile adhesions ripped apart every time you visit the pediatrician 🙄 it's horrible and I highly advise against circumsicion after getting my son circumcized. The foreskin adheres back all the time.
