This picture started going around, and there was some controversy or people who think her parents deserve the blame, and others who think they don't. I was honestly skeptical at first, so I searched her up and an obituary page popped up for her. Seeing that honestly made me shocked and so sad to realize that this situation was real. I looked at a few of her last tweets, and it wasn't exactly something happy to read knowing what happened to her.
What do you all think of this? Do you think her parents deserve some type of blame or not? What are your overall thoughts about it?

I kinda thought it was tacky for a complete stranger to take her image and repost it for retweets and likes. She didn't even think about how her family might feel about it :/ Really sad either way and I do believe there should be more awareness about mental health but not like that.

I agree. My cousin was very depressed and when she finally decided to come out and tell her mom that she wanted help, her mom said it was just a phase. Parents need to pay more attention to their kids and if they ask for help, provide them with it

Not 100% of the blame. Some people are really ignorant about suicide, mental health, depression, and stress in young teens. They may of thought it was just normal teen hormones or wasn't as serious as her situation was. Typically people see signs in distressed and suicidal people but some just don't. They probably were clueless, and they made the biggest mistake of their life pushing aside her outcry. This is a lesson, listen to your kids.

The parents do deserve to be blamed. Any parent that is in tune with their child should know when warning signs pop up. They were clearly ignoring this poor girl and now she is gone. You don't come back from death. That's the end. No turning around. No take backs. It's final. Watch your words especially around your children and others. You never know what someone is going through and how what you say will affect them.

A parenting not being responsible for a child's health is neglect and abuse, that includes mental health. I'm sure the parents are probably torn up about it, but that doesn't necessarily mean they learnt their lesson, some just don't. They should face some sort of punishment for it, even if something small.

Some kids are scared to even speak about things like that, so her mom can't say I didn't know because the girl was very open. Its just sad that another life is lost because of this.

I don't think it should always be the parents fault for not noticing. In this situation, I do believe they played a heavy part, because they ignored when she reached out for help. 
But in other cases, like mine, i never reached out for anyone. So, it's different for every situation, but this one definitely could've been prevented by the parents

I've had depression since I was about 13. I constantly cut myself and my family told me it was just a phase. At 20 years old I tried to kill myself. I failed obviously and they finally got the picture. A year later and I'm starting to feel that way again, but my family knows the signs and are helping me. Unfortanetly some people don't give a shit till you fail at it or succeed at it.

The parents need to be charged with neglect and put in jail. THIS is abuse and endangerment. Not pierced ears or circumcisions. THIS is abuse. This needs to be reported. A child died because of shitty parenting
