Recalled 6 years ago!! What can I do!?

Bought a Simplicity For Children crib from my co-worker who used it for her grandkids and says she thinks she bought it at Kmart (co-worker no longer works there). I was trying to find more info on the crib only to discover it was recalled back in 2010! D: Is there anything I can do? Recall report says Target, Walmart, and Babies R Us will honor the recall but it's also up to their discretion since they aren't required to because the company went out of business before the recall. This was back in 2010 though, do you think anyone will do anything for us even though it was forever ago, we didn't originally purchase it, and we have nothing but the changing pad label that identifies what it is? Baby isn't due until February so thankfully there's still time.
