Vaginal smell after giving birth

My wife and I have been having sex for about three weeks now after she gave birth to our daughter a little over six weeks ago. Her vagina has had a very noticeable odor for, at least, two weeks now. I'm not ejaculated inside her, so it's not my semen causing the problem. It makes having sex difficult. Has anyone else experienced this problem?
