Peeing when pregnant?

Stupid question but something I've been wondering the past couple of days. They say an early pregnancy symptom is having to pee a lot. Does this mean having the sensation to pee more than usual, or actually physically passing more urine than usual?

I know later on it's because of baby pushing on the bladder, but what about earlier??

Earlier you start to pee a lot because your kidneys are functioning at a higher capacity. I didn't start peeing every hour until my second trimester though.

I've never heard that. Are you actually pregnant or do you jus think you could be? If you don't know it could just be in your head..

I didn't notice this until second tri and it's more so the need to pee more often

You physically have to pee more. Typically doesn't start until there is substantial weight on that area. For me it didn't start till second tri.

In the first trimester I actually did pee a lot and I felt like I had to pee all the time even when I had just gone. It went away a few weeks into the second trimester, I'm 30 weeks now and waiting for the constant peeing to return.

During early pregnancy I peed more often, it's not really like I had this serious urge I just felt full more often... 
I don't know if that makes any sense
