One bedroom apartment w/ kids

Would you rent a one bedroom apartment if you have kids? Like you can only afford a one bedroom apartment because life is just not working out for you, but you need a place to stay. Are there any conditions like they need to be younger than like..5. (I know most apartments have a limit on amount of people can live in them.)
