don't want to leave my baby's side!

So a few of my best friends (who all have one year olds) want to have a girls movies night at one of their houses on Saturday night. My LO is 8 weeks old and I'm not ready to leave him (even though he would be safe home with my hubby). I could bring him, but it's starting to get very cold at night and I don't like bringing him outside unless I have to. Am I overreacting? My husband says I am and that I need a few hours off. Should I go over my friends for a few hours and have some me time or is it too soon? So torn.
