need advice

So I'm supposedly 12 days late. My last period was oct 21-31st I just got off the implant and switched to the pill but my doctor said not to start my pack till I get my period and start the following Sunday. Do you think it could just throw my period off from getting my implant taken out. Still not letting myself freak out just yet haha
