Natural labour x C section ?

Question

I can't make up my mind... I heard natural labour is great because you recover super fast, but there are some changes when it comes to the elasticity of the vagina, I heard you can pee when sneeze for a long time after giving birth, and some other complications like that... The c section on the other hand won't change me down there, but I heard the recovery is very tough.

Is that really truth about natural labour?

Please give me your opinion, girls. What do you prefer?

I didn't per with sneezing after I gave birth but it happens at the end of pregnancy. I do levels daily though.
As for stretching of the vagina, my son's head was almost to the 90th percentile at birth and after 6 weeks when we had intercourse, it was a little bit painful like the very first time and hubby told me it felt tight even after a couple of years. Now I had an episiotomy and stitches so maybe that helped put everything back but I don't know for sure.

I have had 3 c-sections and I recover very quickly.  At 7 days postpartum I took all 3 of our kids to the local zoo (VERY hilly).  I was pushing the newborn in a stroller and keeping track of a 3 1/2 year old and 5 year old.  Some people think having a c-section is a good reason to lie around and have others do things for them.  Actually it's the opposite, you need to move around so you will heal faster and avoid scar tissue.

I had a natural birth, didn't even bother with pelvic floor exercises, I've never peed myself and my partner thinks I feel the same. My vag felt normal after a month or so after birth.

I'd only go C section if it was medically nessesary. Our bodies are made for giving birth, the hear say of your vagina not going back to normal and sneezing etc is silly, I can happen but you do pelvic floor exercises for a reason. Think about it because c section is also classed as a major surgery as well.

Any book, article, medical professional or woman who has experienced both, will tell you that a vaginal delivery is with out a doubt the better route. C sections are for life & death emergencies, not to save your vagina from being stretched out. In fact, most men will tell you their partners vagina is tighter once healed from child birth. As far as peeing goes, physio therapy can fix all that. C section is not the easier, safer or better choice.

Ultimately it's your decision, but look into how both affect the baby. Take their health and safety info consideration. Also....kegels !!!! They will help strengthen your pelvic floor and *hopefully * help reduce any sneeze pee after the fact. They will also help your body prepare for labor if you do go natural. C-sections really shouldn't be a convenience, they should be for emergent need. But like I said...in the US anyway... It's your decision.
