what are the signs of labour?

I've been having cramps all night & still having them, they're quite intense. Not sure if I'm having contractions as everything hurts and I'm experiencing pain in my lower back and near my pelvic area & ive also had some loose stools..

Not sure if I'm in labour or not, help please

How many weeks are you? Some people say "you'll know" but I had no clue I was in active labor this week at my appointment and had to have it stopped. So if you're preterm, be on the safe side and go get checked. If you're around your due date then try to drink extra water, get up & walk around, lay down and rest, & if they don't stop through that then it could be labor.

See that's what I'm scared of... not knowing I'll be in labor. I'm 38+6 and my lower back is super achy (how it hurts during my period) but I have no idea if it's contractions or what

Ive heard loose stools is a sign of early labour because its trying to vacate your bowels pre birth :D but thats as much help as i can be..

You will know when it turns into active labor. It sounds like it could be early labor
