Hsg fertility test is it painful?

I have really bad aniexty and i know this test is going to hurt . I just had a ectopic pregnancy back in October i lost my right tube.  Ive been read that hsg test hurts even more if a tube is blocked . Has anyone else had this happen to them ?

I tolerate pain really well and it was painful but only momentarily. They say it's like period cramps but it's more like a VERY strong dull pain and sharp at times. Just slowly count to 20 and it will be over. Very much worth it though. It tests to see if your tubes are blocked and it has even helped to unblock them for some women.

Mine was quick, easy, and painless. But my tubes were clear. I noticed that women who have blockage need more dye and that could be why its more painful. I could be wrong. Its just what I have noticed from other women talking about their experiences.

I had very little pain, it was worth getting my tubes checked. Good luck, the pain won't last.

I found it horribly painful. 45 minutes of digging st my cervix to get through to out the die in they finally just scheduled it under anesthesia

It was bad for me. But I lived through it....and I wasnt sure that I was going to. I was happy to have the data from that test though (all was well). While I stopped having terrible pain a day or two later, it took about a week for me to feel completely back to normal.

I had the test in September, but my tubes were fine. I barely felt anything until later when i got mild cramps.
