reading a test after the time

So I have taken a couple of tests over the last 5 days... All negative so far. I took another tonight (12dpo) which appeared to be negative & so I popped it down in the floor & continued knitting (baby leggings... Yes I am already into making the baby clothes before getting my bfp!). The instructions say to read at 5 minutes. I just got up to go to bed now & picked up the test to see this. Am I meant to discard this bc it's been more like an hour?? The other tests I have done stayed obviously negative even days later (yes I still have them in the bathroom cupboard). Opinions???
