So it's me and my husbands 1 year wedding anniversary today, we are both eachothers first marriages, and for our 1 year anniversary he got me a 20$ pocket knife off amazon.. I mean I'm happy he got me something at least but really? A pocket knife? I don't even use them I work at a daycare and can't even take it with me lol. I'm 35 weeks pregnant and my hormones are making me really upset that that's what he chose to get me.. I just don't see that as a romantic anniversary present..? And for those of you that will ask, I got him a 500$ 9mm handgun that he wanted and he loves it and carries it every where..

I just don't think men are great gift givers all of the time lol. My SO got me a pocket knife too, and was so excited about it lol. He works and I stay home and he was so giddy cause he was like "you can protect yourself" etc etc etc. So...even though our hormones make us crazy...we have to breathe, and just remind ourselves that they're men. They dont think like we do lol. At least he got you something and remembered your anniversary 😊 I know I'm terrible at pep talking. Happy Anniversary love! ❤ many more to ya. Maybe with less knives in the future lol

did u guys talk about or agree to a budget ahead of time? that's what we do so we are on the same page with how much we are spending so we don't have to guess if the other is going more sentimental/ conservative or spoiling.

It may not be the gift u was expecting but look at it like this ur 35 weeks pregnant and he can be around all the time to protect u so he got u a pocket knife. Shit he remembered yall anniversary and I believe he had great intent! Don't compare u gift or how much u spend because doing that make it seem like it all about the gift not the thought! Congrats on ur 1 year Anniversary 🎂🎊🎉🎈🎉🎊
