SA came back unsuccessful

Hi all, I'm new here and looking for some advice. My SO had his VR done in July and we just got his SA back last night. Unfortunately it looks like the surgery was unsuccessful. Is it possible it could just take more time or are we completely out and needing to explore other options? We are both completely heartbroken as the doctor told us he was extremely confident and had never had a reversal go so smoothly. I hate that they mailed the results and we're having to go the whole weekend without being able to discuss the results with the Dr. Just hoping someone else has been in our shoes and has some advice.
