Back labour?

Hi everyone. I'm 38+5 today. I've been experiencing waves of "stabbing" back pain while I lie down, sit down, whatever im doing it doesn't matter. My stomach isn't getting hard at all. Like no bhs whatsoever, but the waves of back pain is really hurting. I'm 2 hours from a hospital so I can't just run in and get checked and I refuse to leave unless it's the real deal since I don't want to be sent home. Maybe I'm in the early stages of labor? Has anyone experienced this, I'm really confused.
