out of state baby shower... need advice

Has anyone had a baby shower out of state?? My husband and I live in Florida and all of our family lives in Ohio. My mom wants to throw a baby shower so bad! I would love to have one too, but feel like it's hard being out of state. I feel like it's rude to ask people to buy online or ship gifts to our house in Florida. We would be flying home, so it's not like we can bring a lot with us. Any advice or ideas?! 🙏🏼💕
