Is there anything safe to give infants to relax them/make sleepy?
I know this is a question for the pediatrician but was wondering if any of you knew of anything that could help with trimming my baby's nails. It's a battle each time that ends up w/him crying until he falls asleep on my lap which is the only way I can actually start trimming. Any other time he's already asleep, he just wakes up immediately when I start. I've tried feeding him and trimming at the same time but he is always jumpy and kicky naturally. He's a very active happy baby and can never keep still. He's 5 months and keeping mittens on him at this age isn't working either. He likes to scratch himself all over (feels everything by scratching) so I have to trim them regularly. Do you all remember that sugar substance stuff they gave (for those of you with boys) before they circumsized that made them sleepy in order to get it done? I wish I could get some of that stuff just to do his nails!! I hate the way we have to do it right now 😓
