a bit annoyed/hurt @ SO....kind of long rant
23 weeks pregnant here and fully realize that yes, I may be hormonal, and yes, my husband's propensity to annoy me lately is probably due to that, but THIS one....!
We know we are having a girl since week 16 and I've been really excited to play the name game. My husband just isn't into it, and the names he suggests seem really random-- either weird, or ugly, or after people he knows that I've never even met. I don't mind -- it's just matter of suggesting till we both find something we agree with, right?
Not that simple. He gets sulky and sullen when I say I don't like something, and I was texting him a few suggestions the other day and got this:
"In all seriousness, let's keep this simple. Quit searching. I'm really serious about this don't want you to start feeling I ignore you. It's honestly boring to me it really really is. And I want you to respect that Let's decide and be done. Don't enjoy this going forth and back at all. Just pick one. You don't like any I like so at this point anything is fine"
I was like fine point taken won't speak about it again...and I haven't. I kept my word and he will never hear another name suggestion out of my mouth. But I'm feeling really resentful and angry and hateful towards him and I feel like he's really robbed me of a lot of pleasure and enjoyment because since it's not going his way the subject "bores" him.
He spoiled this for me and I know it's petty but I don't know if I can forgive him for it. We had a lot of trouble getting pregnant (I had fibroid surgery last year) but now that he's "done" it and proved he's a man or whatever I guess nothing else matters.
Idk what to do....if I bring it up again he's going to chalk it up to my overreacting. He's already suggested I was angry about it that day because of "hormones and a lack of sleep"
Seriously fu*k it. ☹️ hormones or not, I'm mad
