car seat ? please help!!

So my son is 3 months almost 15 pounds super heavy to lug around I got his convertabike car seat and want to switch him to it and I will get a shopping cart cover with the infant insert for when we go shopping but my only question is what if I go into like subway or something to sit somewhere then what do you do cause? Just try to hold him while you eat?

Following. My little guy is getting too heavy to tote around in his car seat and we have a convertible one as well that I haven't got out of the box. Since he's not sitting up on his own it would be hard to take him places cause he couldn't sit in a cart or high chair, etc.

The carrier babies are only meant to be it in the car not for naps or going shopping. Just put them in the pushchair. There's been a number of incidents of babies dying after being left in carry seats for Prelonged periods

I have the same issue, I've continued using the carrier and was thinking of switching soon. My son will not sit in his carrier if he is not constantly moving even when he falls alseep he will generally wake up so I wear him constantly that's how I am able to grocery shop. As far as sitting somewhere I just hold him facing out on my lap, he's happy that way, eating out is difficult so we just haven't really bothered. Let me know how the shopping cart insert works I've been curious but haven't tried it yet. If you don't have one yet and you have TJ Max or Marshals bear you look for the shopping cart cover there I spent so much on mine and then have seen them there a bunch of times so much cheaper then babies r us.
