Molar Pregnancy?

I found out from the pathology of my recent d&c that I had a molar pregnancy. I'm not sure what to expect. They are completing more testing to get more information. I'm just nervous. I'm afraid they are going to tell me I have to wait 6 months to get pregnant. I know it could also be between 2 and 3 cycles. I'm hoping for the latter but I'm really nervous.

Molar pregnancies are very serious. You should listen to your doctor very closely about your options. Molar pregnancies are when the fertilized egg has a mutation and starts to produce tumors and can lead to cancer. It is extremely serious, please talk to your doctor before ttc.

I had a complete molar pregnancy removed back in February. My dr recommended waiting 6-12 months before getting pregnant again. 
I had to get weekly blood tests until my numbers reached 0. Then monthly to make sure they stayed at 0. 
Many drs perform a chest X-ray right after a D&C just to make sure the tumors haven't travelled. I didn't get one though. 
My husband and I decided to start trying again at 6 months.
