sexually active, medication. *EDIT*

So, I'm on a new medicine that my doctor put me on, and she told me I cannot be sexually active unless I'm on birth control. My question in my previous post was: by sexually active, does it only mean penetration? Like, if I did a 69 or anything like that, does that count? 

And now I'll answer the questions that were asked. 

1. How old are you?

I'm 17. My parents won't allow me to be on bc because they don't want me to have sex until I turn 18. I'm a virgin, but I was wanting to have sex with my boyfriend because I don't get to see him very much. I would like to be on bc, because I want to be as protected as possible. And just in case anyone was wondering, yes, I would use condoms any time that I have sex especially if I can't be put on bc. 

2. What is the medication for? 

It's because I have a rare infection in my bladder. It's the only medicine that they can give me to treat it. (It also treats acne, but the reason I'm on it is for a bladder infection.)

3. Why can't you have sex while you're on the medicine?

I have no idea. I didn't want to ask my doctor, because my parents were in the room and I felt uncomfortable enough and I didn't want to ask my doctor. All I know is she told me not to do it, so there must be some reason. If she told me not to, I'm not gonna.

I figured that it doesn't count as being sexually active, because birth control wouldn't really have an effect on anything that couldn't get me pregnant.

I just looked at the name of the medicine, and it's called doxy-cycline. If that helps.
