I admit that I will if I'm stopped at a stop light or stopped on the freeway in rush hour traffic. But if I'm moving I won't touch my phone. I can call people with a button on my steering wheel. If I something is so important that it can't wait, I will make a call.

Wow I am shocked at how many irresponsible people there are that have said yes! I really hope that is when they are  stopped in traffic, which is still stupid but marginally less dangerous. What is so important that it can't wait until you arrive? No wonder there are so many accidents and near accidents.

I get so angry when I see people doing that! My husband and I fight endlessly over it. He uses his phone so much when he's driving. I tell him one day you're going to end up dead or killing someone. I don't understand how people can be so irresponsible. 
One time I got distracted by looking down at my phone that I ended up on the island

I cant drive low vision so i do all of the phone calls and texts and change the songs while my husband drives

We did get into an accident a few years ago but not due to texting it was because that spring we had a bad blizzard and my husband hit a curb really bad and messed up the power steering and also the struts well we were driving to see our son in the nicu and the wheel and tires locked up and my husband tried to jerk the car back and didnt work we went down a cliff 35 ft at a 40 angle caught big air on a rock bounced off trees we should have wrapped around we also should have flipped and rolled but my husband locked his arms and kept control of the car we stopped resting on a twig ems and fire were both shocked when they got there as that stretch of road always ends in death 99.99% of the time we walked away wth bumps and brusies they had to shut down the road to pull the car out his side was bent in a u shape both front windows were shattered and the windshield had spider cracks the bumper was shoved inside the car the front axle was pulled up and out ontop of the engine block he stopped the airbag from crushing me by putting his arm out to take the full force of it his never deployed but fire forced it to for safety my side mirror broke off split in too the glass went by my head in front of me and landed behind the driver side the plastic part went between me and the door and ended up on the floor behind me

Sad thing is is that we were getting the car fixed the next day but the car had other plans and also we were less than 5 miles from hitting the 100,000 mile mark
