Any advice?

I'm at FTM and I'm being induced the 16th at 8am! 4 days before my due date. My Dr. was getting concerned because I've had normal blood pressure up until the last couple weeks and Friday when she took it my blood pressure was very high. (153/100) So she decided it was best to just set an Induction date. Anyone that has been induced have any advice? Is there anything I should know or be expecting? TIA! 💞

For me, it was easy. Once they break your water & start you on pitocin, be ready for some paaaainful contractions! If you're getting an epidural, you have to sit still through the contractions but you'll be so focused on getting rid of the pain, it'll be a breeze. I was induced at 39+1. They gave me cervidil in my cervix. That lasted for about 12 hours. The next day is when everything flew by. My contractions started around 8:30am & before I knew it, it was 2:15pm & I was pushing. That sounds like a while, but it literally flew by. Every one is different so they may try to get yours going a little faster or it may take a few days.. just try to take the pain as it comes! My experience wasn't bad at all so I hope yours isn't either. I was a FTM also! :)
