Skyla IUD, long spotting period?

I got an IUD (Skyla) for the first time over a week ago. My period turned into spotting, and it hasn't gone away yet. No increase in flow, and I've had longer periods when forgetting birth control pills, so I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this problem? And if so, how long does it last?
