spotting for more than a week ??

So I've been spotting here and there for about a week and a half and I took a pregnancy test last Wednesday cause it would've been exactly two weeks from when I had sex and it came out negative. But I'm positive it isn't implantation bleeding cause it's been more than one day plus it isn't red it's more of a dark brown sometimes red. But I have no cramps or anything. I take my pill every day and on time, but it could be the fact that I skipped my period two months inna row ?/:
