How do you know if you're in love with someone or in love with the idea of being in love? I was seeing this guy for about a month & now he's my boyfriend. We've been dating for about 6 months, I like him so much, we get on really well, like best friends. We make each other laugh, hang out all the time, he's always there for me if I'm sad or going through something, basically perfect boyfriend 😂 & the sex is amazing too. Butttttt
He's my first ever boyfriend, & my first everything (kiss, first time, etc) so I have nothing to compare this feeling to. After the first time I felt this connection to him but I know that's probably just because he was my first. 
How do I know if I'm in love (not just now but in the future of our relationship) or I just love having a boyfriend???

There's no real definition to love, but do what makes you happy. If you don't wanna be in the relationship, don't be. But finding "love" isn't a guarantee. A lot of the time, people don't appreciate good till they can compare it to bad. Sometimes, you just have to consider that this is the good and it's not worth losing just to realize what it truly was when you had it. That being said, being in love with the idea of a relationship doesn't make a good relationship. The fact that you sound like your relationship is something that makes you happy I don't think you're just in love with the idea of being in one. You said yourself he's like the perfect boyfriend, no need to compare that. There's always better and there's always worse. Leaving to find if you can do better isn't a good strategy, and be careful with who you think may be better cause sometimes you think you know people when you don't know them at all. Overall, just do what makes you happy in the end and you'll be best off:)
