pregnant or late period?!

So my last actual period was 11/15-11/20. Then 11/28-12/2 I was spotting or another period not sure which!!!! I went to the doctors Tuesday 12/13 for a check up for having random cramps and for the spotting between periods. So they naturally did a urine test to see if I was pregnant they said it was. Negative. I was suppose to start my Period Wednesday 12/14 and I have yet to! Should I take a home test or maybe just wait a couple more day to see if I start?!
