how do you keep your LO's mittens on?

I'm not quite comfortable with cutting her nails yet. (She was born 2 days ago, I'm still getting used to it) And I got her little mittens to stay on her hands
To avoid scratching her face but they keep falling off! Not just occasionally, but as soon as I put them on! How do you get your baby's mittens to stay on? I don't want her to have a scratched up face :(

They sell sleepsuits with the turn overs on the end of the sleeves 😊

Use socks! They stay on much better :)

If you make her wear full sleeve onsies just pull the mitten over the onsie sleeve and that should stay on. That's what I did for my LO. Also just buy those onsies that have built in mittens those are life savers.

You can year or file her nails for now- they'll be so soft the first several weeks!

I also never used the mittens- they pose a suffocation risk if they fall off near or on the face! Tops or sleepers that can flip to cover the hands will be your best friend!

Maybe a small stich joining the mittens to the outfits. I have a few with the built in ones but was trying to come up with something that will help the other outfits.  It also saves them from being lost in the washing..
