any moms had local anesthesia while pregnant?

I have a lump in my breast that's growing pretty fast- doctors recommended immediate ultrasound guided core needle biopsy that required local anesthesia in my left breast.

They assured me there was no risk to the baby.

Any other moms had local anesthesia while pregnant and their baby was okay?

Yes I had an biopsy and excision while preggo - have them use lidocaine without epinephrine.

You'll be fine. Its lidocaine, it won't cross the blood/placental barrier.

I did while having my cerclage put in at 14 weeks. They just monitored the baby for an hour after I woke up. Everything was/is great.
