pain med question from a 1st timer
I had my first section 8 days ago. I was only prescribed 5mg of oxycodone. I was taking some ibuprofen with it and some Tylenol in between. I've stopped the Tylenol because I didn't really notice it helping.
I was discharged at day 2, I was in excruciating pain until day 5, I'd cry just getting into bed. 6 & 7 were easier because I got my binder in the mail, I never received one at the hospital.
I called the doc on day 4 and he said they won't refill my medicine because they like to see us off them by 7 days post op.
I have a couple left because I spaced them out to every 6hrs instead of the 4hrs they had me doing at the hospital.
Does this sound kinda off to you? I mean, major surgery, this was my first ever actual surgery so my body was in shock to say the least.
