Sticker removal tips needed!!

I bought my son a Thomas the train desk at a thrift store yesterday. It's in great shape overall except it's covered in stickers! The desk appears to be constructed from plywood. So I don't want to remove the finish on the wood with the stickers. So if anyone has some tips I would appreciate it.
