how many times a day do you pump?

I pump twice a day since I got back to work. I wake up at 5 am and that's about the time my baby wakes up - I nurse her, then I'll nurse her again around 7 to 7:30 am before I leave for work.

When I get to work, I pump at 10 am then at 1 pm. I try to pump at 4 pm but thought that I'm leaving already 5:30 and be home by 6 - if I pump at 4 pm, when I get home baby wouldn't have enough breastmilk.

Thoughts? Do you mind sharing your pumping schedule?

I would pump at 4.  You will still have enough milk for baby at 6.

Being back at work full time has switched us to almost pumping exclusively. 😞 I pump every 3-4 hours for a total of 6-8 pumps a day, lasting 10-20 min each.

I'm going to be doing 12 hr shifts when I  go back next month. I've got all my pump breaks scheduled for 10, 12:30, 3:30, and 6:30. I leave the house at 730 and start work at 830 and finish for the day at 9pm getting home around 9:30. I'll give baby a dream feed before I go to bed. I'll eat my meals at work on those pump breaks as well.

I'm a SAHM, but will be returning to work when LO is around 6 months. Right now I pump for LO to have the occasional bottle and to build a stash. I have found that pumping about 15 minutes after the first morning feeding when we wake up produces the most for me and I will usually pump then and of the evening sometime. As long as I wait about 15-30 minutes after LO nurses it seems to be fine.

Following...I go back to work the first week of Feb but will only be able to pump at 8, 12 and 4.  And that is only if my schedule works out that day.  I am a teacher.

I'm curious also, I'm a SAHM but just starting to build up my stash. I'm going to continue EB until my sons 6months but I haven't found a pump routine yet. Right now my son keeps falling asleep during his night feedings so I pump through out the night. During the day I can hardly get an ounce but my son is a snacker and is unpredictable when he gets hungry during day time hours.

I'm a teacher and pump at 9 and 2 then he wants to nurse right when he sees me. This way I am pumping as much or more than he is drinking. Then on the weekends I pump after his morning feed to empty me out. This also gets me about 2 bottles ahead.

I think it would be fine if you pumped at 4 and fed at 5:30/6. Your baby used to eat that frequently and you had enough milk.
