Is it possible to get pregnant on a day of a missed period?

I had sex this weekend with my boyfriend. My period was already 3 days late when we had sex. Is it possible to get pregnant? I am in birth control and I'm sure I'm not. I'm planning on taking a test in a couple of weeks just in case. It's just I'm curious if it's possible.

If your are ovulating late and BC fails you then yes.

Is it a new form of birth control to you? Sometimes periods and cycles can get a little wonky when you first start hormonal birth control. 
Other than that, you're doing the right things. Just keep watching it,and if your period still hasn't come in a couple of weeks, take a test and/or see a doctor
