Could it be the Pill?

I would appreciate if anyone could maybe help with advice by giving their honest opinion to the best of their knowledge:

I've started using a birth control pill, called Melodene, on the 15th of December which was also the first day of my period - as instructed by a medical professional. I have no prior history of being on any form of contraceptive as I'm not yet sexually active, therefore do not know if the 'symptoms' I'm experiencing are just my body adjusting, me being paraniod or if I should take things further and maybe revisit my doctor?

- since starting use of the Pill, I've had constant headaches (something that I do not usually struggle with much). And to me it feels if it's getting worse from one day to the next.

- Struggling with nausea, even if I have not eaten.

- I've been on my period since the 15th, not abnormally long but usually my period last for 4 days maximum. Can this longer period be due to the Pill? I was told that this period would actually be shorter and lighter, due to not starting the pack on the placebo pills (pink in my case) but the white active pills.

- I've been feeling so down the last couple of days, which is normal for me before or a the start of my period but not so far in?

Advice/Opinions would be appreciated.

Ps: English is not my first language, I apologise if there is any grammatical errors. If I'm unclear in my explanation let me know and I would try to adjust the text accordingly.

Thank you:).
