I need your help!
I had my membranes swept at 4pm on Monday December 19th.
About 6pm that night I started having cramping, lower back pain and frequent but painless contractions. (2-3 minutes apart lasting 30-40 seconds)
I've experienced something similar about a week ago, and when I called L&D they said "don't come in until you can't walk or talk through them." So i figure these are nothing.
Around 11pm they turned from painless to mild contractions still happening every 2-3 minutes. Lasting all night long. I'd fall asleep and then I'd get one good one that would wake me up. Happened probably a couple times every hour. But still not painful enough that I feel like I need to go to L&D. Got out of bed about 8am back pain was gone, not so much cramping, and I was back to painless contractions coming every 3-4 minutes. I did go use the bathroom around 9:30-10:00 am and I had a long snot like string after wiping. Reading a few things on google I have decided that very well could have been my mucus plug. Ever since then my cramping had come back, back pain came back and again I'm having very mild but consistent contractions coming every 3-4 minutes. It's 1pm now and I have not stopped having contractions since 6pm last night. Im already 4cm dilated and 90% effaced and I worry that even though these contractions seem like nothing, that they are indeed doing something. And I don't want to labor at home and risk not making it to the hospital. I'm a FTM and I have no idea what to expect. Or what to do.
Anyone have any insight?
