I mean, I'm not planning on getting married. But if for some reason I do, I certainly wouldn't have a huge in your face put me in debt type wedding. It would probably be a courthouse wedding.

Um yeAH? You both planned it and you're both responsible for it. No one actually gets a wedding? So no one person can be held responsible for it all.
If you were meant to be a part of it, but ended up not coming, you pay for what you started, just like the other so many other sales in the world.

Uh hell yes. I had a Co worker who's boyfriend left her at the altar and he didn't pay for shit! She still has all the decorations and her dress & bridesmaid dresses in storage 💔

Ideally, they would pay for all or at least half. But, realistically you can't make them pay you for it unless you had a contract outlining this prior or you take them to court.

Well, most of it would probably already be paid for, so I'd probably have a "good riddance" party. I'd try to save/resell some of the stuff. If possible, I'd take them to court to pay back everything else.
