GROUP B STREP?!?!

So at my 17 week OB appointment they found GBS in my urine, they have me a 7 day antibiotic to take, well my Dr's nurse called and said that I need to take the antibiotics AGAIN...is this normal or what's wrong?!

GBS is VERY common. Nothing to worry about. For me, they gave me antibiotics every 4 hours while I was in labor and that did the trick. It's also not an STD or anything. It's just something people get in their gut. It comes and goes and isn't harmful to us. But it can be really harmful to babies. Which is why they give you antibiotics

I was with my first and just had to be admitted as soon as my water broke in order to get the medicine to protect baby. Never took anything before that.
