let it happen for the first time

I let my man finish inside me for the first time the other day, I am on the iud and I just finished my period. Just to be safe I took the plan b just in case. I am now having cramps and some pink discharge and some spotting. Is that normal? Or if I miss my next period should I get worried or is my iud perfectly fine preventing pregnancy?
