Medication, piercings and breastfeeding

Leah Margaret • 3 children to adore, and adding one more! My fiancé Craig and I are expecting pink bows on 06/04! 🎀
Are there any moms or soon-to-be moms other than first time parents who could helped out? Basically I wanted to know if any mothers out there are on medication (for whatever reason) that resulted in the inability to breast feed AND are there any mothers out there that have piercings in areas that may be effected postpartum (or during labor and delivery).
I am on methadone (which I've been on throughout all of my pregnancies, as well as a low dose of clonazepam (0.5mg 3x daily). With my first son they didn't allow it at all. With my second son they allowed it and my last pregnancy they allowed it until they decided (because she was such a relaxed and sleep baby) that the clonazepam could have been causing that drowsiness. (Come to find out it had nothing to do with it, she was just a sleepy baby). I want to Brest feed again and I'm basically on the same doses, etc as I was with my second son.
My other question: are there any moms out there that have Nipple piercings that breastfed? Did they need to be taken out during feedings? Did they make it harder to breastfeed at all? This is my third time having them pierced so I know there is probably scar tissue. Any help or insight would be much appreciated.
