what's your opinion on true feelings?

How would you know if someone has actually feelings for someone? I'm tired of getting hurt and need some thoughts or opinions experience, anything from someone else.

So, I was really on the fence about whether or not to date my now-husband, because I was still deeply in like with some other guy who really didn't give me the time of day. I had a moment of clarity after a full day of studying in the library, where my my now-husband stuck around the whole day, just because he genuinely enjoyed my presence. I barely spoke to him, but he stayed anyway just to spend time with me. At midnight that night I got a text from the other guy, asking me to come over. He only wanted me around when it was convenient for him, so we could hook up. That's kind of when it hit me, that the one who truly cares for you makes time for you, enjoys being with you, and will do anything just to brighten your day. I definitely made the right choice that day to pursue my husband. 🤗

I know my bf actually cared when I had some stuff happen and he stayed, I then opened up about my passed and he still stayed. He had many chances to run and leave and he still does but even through all this he has still stayed. I am a believer in (a way a man treats his mom is how he treats his women) my bf mom is a pos in my eyes and yet he still lets her treat us so bad because thats his mom and he has to respect and love her.
