should we be concerned ?

So I had my appointment today and my doctor said the baby is measuring 2 weeks behind and they are going to do an ultrasound at 37 weeks which I'm 35 weeks now so in 2 weeks, and if the placenta isn't working properly they will induce me and I will have him early . Should I be concerned ? did any other ladies go through this ?

I personally did not, but a friend of mine did! Baby wasn't growing past the 35 weeks and had to be induced halfway though her 35th week. Baby was fine! He didn't even need to be on any machines, she got to have him in her room with her right away. They were able to do skin to skin and start breast feeding within the hour. Two days later they went home!

Try not to freak out. I know easier said than done. Your doctor has a plan in place if something is going on. Maybe you ovulated later, maybe there is something off with the placenta, maybe it is absolutely nothing 🙂.
