They check the length via ultrasound to make sure it isn't too short but don't actually stick a finger in if that's what kind of check you mean.

They measured it off of the ultrasound. Definitely didn't physically go in and check.

Cervix check via US. They looked at it and made sure nothing looked abnormal. 
Not sure it's cuz I have a history of loss tho.
